Philosophy
To propel graduates of the programme to the centre of decision-making in Africa by equipping them with knowledge and skills in research for public policy, a deep understanding of universal theories and concepts of public policy
Objectives
To provide relevant and quality training in public policy making skills.

To improve learners decision-making and implementation skills in the public policy arena.
Rationale
To offer a response to Africa’s development challenges which call for a unique approach to public policy: an African perspective in defining policy priorities that will lead to sustainable prosperity for the people of the continent

Admission Requirements
Admission Requirements
Common regulations for admission of Masters degree of the Faculty of Arts, University of Nairobi shall apply. In addition, an applicant must be a holder of :-
- At least a second class honours degree (upper division) from a recognized university.
- A second class (honours) lower division or equivalent) with at least three years relevant work experience and/or postgraduate diploma or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- A first degree (pass) and a Postgraduate diploma from a recognized institution with at least five years relevant work experience.
