Political Theory courses are designed to expose students to political theory as the oldest sub-discipline of political science which carries the original sprit of the discipline. The courses focus on key conceptual issues, starting with attempts to delimit the concept, political theory, and then examine the scope, major classifications, and relevance of political theory to political science. They also offer a cursory retrospection of the development of key political ideas from the Greco-Roman era, through the medieval era, the modern era and even contemporary political thought.
